The French thriller Le Serpent had a promising start. It established the characters quite well and the audience will want to see what will happen next. Yvan Attal as Vincent and Clovis Cornillac as Plender did a good job acting-wise.

It’s also a bonus that the movie had Olga Kurylenko play as eye candy in the first quarter of the movie. Although she’s not seen moving in the later part of The Serpent, her role was vital to the story. I do think that this movie paved the way towards being a Bond girl.

Quantum of Solace could have been a great Bond movie but they got a bad director for it. The movie felt like Marc Forster filmed the whole movie on a jackhammer. The action scenes were shaky that it gave me a headache. Bond franchise is all about action but sad to say Quantum of Solace failed to deliver in that department.
Daniel Craig reprises his role of James Bond and he did fine. He gets two Bond girls in Quantum of Solace. Olga Kurylenko as Camille gave a good performance but it would be forgotten after a month or two. I do think that Gemma Artenton as Strawberry Fields deserves a lot more screen time than the one given to her.
Casino Royale might have resuscitated the Bond franchise but Quantum of Solace brought it back to the land of the dead. Plot-wise it was weak and they stretched the movie with the action sequences that make the viewers nauseous.
M (Judi Dench): It’d be a pretty cold bastard who didn’t want revenge for the death of someone he loved.
I love the Bond movies. Sadly, I didn’t enjoy this one. Yup, they killed the franchise once again and I do hope that with the next one, the franchise will be back with a vengeance.
