He Who Can’t Marry might sound like it’s a tearjerker but to the contrary every episode was funny.  Ji Jin-hee plays Jo Jae-hee, a 40 year old architect who is still single.  His character reminded me of Jack Nicholson in As Good as It Gets.

The Korean Drama is based on the Japanese TV series Kekkon Dekinai Otoko.  They say that the Korean version didn’t sway from the Japanese original.  I watched one episode of the original and found the Korean version to be a direct copy, from the set to the characters.  Except in the Japanese version the dog is a pug instead of a Chihuahua.

Finally the Boys Over Flowers fever has reached the Philippines.  I have a confession to make though.  I caught the BOF flu last January and it didn’t stop until the 25th episode.  Now everyone’s talking about the Korean F4 but that’s not the reason why I watched the series.  What made me stick around are Ga-eul, Jae-kyeong and Jan-di.
