The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry or Still, Marry Me is about three women in their 30s who are unlucky with their love life even though they’re successful in their respective careers. The series is about their quest of finding true love and the obstacles that are in their way.

Lee Shin Young (Park Jin Hee) works as a reporter. Two years ago she had to break up with her longtime boyfriend Yoon Sang Woo (Lee Pil Mo) because she was sent to train overseas. Now that she’s back in Korea, Pil Mo asks for her hand but she turns him down. Then she meets guitarist Ha Min Jae (Kim Bum), who’s ten years her junior. Will she find true love with a younger man?

Jung Da Jung (Uhm Ji Won) is a Korean-English translator. She lives with Jin Hee but unlike her, Da Jung doesn’t have a lot of experience when it comes to love. She hopes to find a rich, handsome man with rich being the keyword. She wants to marry within the year. She thinks she already found the one when she met Na Ban Suk (Choi Chul Ho), a doctor specializing in oriental medicine. He proposes, she accepts, they get married and she finds out that married life is not what she thought it would be.

Finally, there’s the independent Kim Boo Ki (Wang Bit Na). She’s a popular restaurant consultant and unlike her friends, she’s not looking for a man to love. Both Shin Young and Da Jung go to her for love advice.

Actually there’s a fourth lady in The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry. Choi Sang Mi (Park Ji Young) is Min Jae’s mother. She’s going through a divorce when she met Sang Woo and fell in love with him. She’s also against the relationship of her son and Shin Young. She’s the spice in the series. Without her, it would just be too sweet for my taste.

The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry is funny from Episode 1 to Episode 16. It is entertaining but not gripping enough. Unlike other Korean dramas I’ve watched, it took me a long time to finish this series. My life just got too busy at one point that I had to drop it.

But that’s just me. The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry or Still, Marry Me is an enjoyable Korean drama series. It is well written and the actors are good. Even though in real life Park Jin Hee and Kim Bum have an 11 year gap, their chemistry is good. They were no awkward moments between the two of them. If you’re looking for a feel-good drama series then you have to watch this one.

Dream is Korean sports drama series about Nam Je Il (Joo Jin Mo), a successful sports agent. He reminded me of Tom Cruise in Jerry McGuire but he has the charisma of Sly Stallone. During the course of the series, he got into his boss’ bad side and got fired. His reputation is in ruins because of a malicious rumor spread by his former boss.

Things picked up for Agent Nam when he met the ex-convict Lee Jang Suk (Kim Bum). Agent Nam finds inner peace as he tries his best to turn him into a champion MMA fighter. Every fighter needs a trainer and here’s where Park So-yeon (Son Dam Bi) comes into the picture.

I must confess that I watched Dream because of Son Dam-bi but the story kept me interested week after week. Guys like me would love the MMA action sequences in the series. For the girls, aside from Kim Bum, there are several eye-candies to choose from.

The Dream ending definitely surprised me. Sports dramas usually end with the star reaching his goal. But in Dream Kim Bum failed to reunite with his mom or become the champion although both goals are within his reach. He saw his mom with her new family and he could have won the championship match if his dad didn’t die.

Dream was an entertaining series and it will be shown in the Philippines soon. Speaking of the Philippines, I took one week off from this blog to help the victims of Typhoon Ondoy. Dreams were shattered but hopefully everyone will recover soon.

Right from the first scene Death Bell gave me goose bumps. It’s about an unknown entity that trapped a bunch of elite high school students and made them solve puzzles in order to save their colleagues. The plot felt like Saw but with a few twists thrown in the mix.

Among the students are Yi-Na (Nam Gyu Ri) and Hyeon (Kim Bum). Along with the kids are two teachers, Chang Wook (Lee Beom Soo) and Choi So-Yeong (Yung Jeong Heui). Yi-na realized that the students are killed according to their academic rankings. Although there were times that the movie became too cute to be scary, with a high school romance brewing between Kim Bum and Nam Gyu-ri. But overall Death Bell gives its audience enough gore and shock that would satisfy every Asian horror movie fans.

I would not be surprised that Death Bell is remade by Hollywood. The plot might have elements of other horror movies such as Saw, The Ring and The Grudge but the movie has some twists unseen from the mentioned movie. Though I somewhat guessed what the ending might be, I was still surprised with the ending. This is a must see for horror fans.

*Spoiler*
The ghost of Jiwon, a former student of the school, was haunting the school but it was not her that’s doing the killing. The killing is done by her parents. It turns out that Jiwon was killed by Chang Wook and her father, the school security guard, killed the teacher in the end.
