Alice in Wonderland is a visual treat. It is colorful and bleak at the same time. Alice (Mia Wasikowska) goes back to Wonderland but doesn’t remember being there before. Not much was changed from Lewis Carroll’s books except this time Alice is trying to recover her muchness.

It might have Alice in the title but the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) stole the show, especially when he did his futterwack dance. I thought the Jabberwocky (Christopher Lee) would get up and join him, JabbaWockeeZ-style.

Disney had a big hit with the first High School Musical. This is why they thought that they can get away with highway robbery by making a third HSM movie. The first one was a big hit with my nieces that they were singing songs from it for a long time after they saw the movie. HSM 2 was not that much of a success and I heard one of my niece sing a song from it once. As for The Senior Year, I didn’t hear any of my nieces sing along to any of the songs.

Troy (Zac Efron), Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens), Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale), Ryan (Lucas Gabriel), Chad (Corbin Bleu) and the rest of the gang are back. The plot of Princess Protection Program is too predictable.  The audience is like a bunch of fortune tellers that can tell what will happen next.   There are no surprises in this one.  But that doesn’t mean that the movie is boring.   In contrast, you won’t know how much time has passed by.
