I watched Labor Pains one night when I was bored and got nothing else better to do. Needless to say, it is one of those movies that don’t deserve a second helping. Lindsay Lohan plays Thea Clayhill, a young secretary who pretended to be pregnant so that she can’t be fired. Not only that, she was getting special treatment everywhere she goes.

If you’re looking for laughs, don’t look for it in Labor Pains. The story was lame and the acting was slightly off par . The movie doesn’t engross the audience into the story and the characters were underdeveloped. We were made to believe that Thea is working her ass off to support her sister but we don’t see them struggling.
The dumbest thing I’ve seen in Labor Pains was when Thea’s sister (Bridgit Mendler) destroyed her fake pregnant belly. Thea then got a balloon to replace it. Everyone knows that it was a bad idea but that didn’t seem to occur in Thea’s head.
Thea Clayhill (Lindsay Lohan): Just because you don’t like my dress doesn’t mean you have to be rude.
Labor Pain did do something right. It brought back the Lindsay Lohan that I adore and not the anorexic Lilo. She was pretty in this movie and that was the only thing that made me want to finish it . The story was predictable. Nick (Luke Kirby) learned that Thea was faking her pregnancy and got angry with her. But we all know that they would still end up together in the end.
If you’re not a Lindsay Lohan fan, better skip Labor Pains. Like I said, I was bored and got nothing to do but it did serve its purpose. I felt asleep right when the end credits was rolling.
