I remember the time when every Star Wars fan is anticipating for the release of Episode 1. Fanboys achieved to capture that moment in time and that makes it different from the rest of the road trip movies.

It’s about four friends Eric (Sam Huntington), Linus (Chris Marquette), Hutch (Dan Fogler), and Windows (Jay Baruchel). They planned to go to Skywalker Ranch to steal a copy of Episode 1 before it was to be released.
Being the ultimate Star Wars Fanboys, they will do whatever it takes to achieve their mission. This is where the fun comes from. The pacing is fast and everything about it was entertaining. The movie might not be for everyone because the humor is a bit crude and vulgar.
Zoe (Kristen Bell): You pussies owe me, big time.
Another reason I watched Fanboys is because Kristen Bell is part of the cast. Her role in this movie reminded me of Veronica Mars. I miss Veronica Mars and do wish to see a big screen adaptation of it. Hopefully we get to see VMars in IMAX. Now that’s wishful thinking.

If you love Star Wars then you’ll be delighted to see the cameos from Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, and Ray Park. In case you didn’t know, Ray Park played Darth Maul and recently played Snake Eyes in the G.I. Joe movie. Captain Kirk William Shatner played a vital role in the movie as well. I was waiting for George Lucas to come out but he didn’t. It’s ok though because my favorite filmmaker did a cameo in Fanboys that brought out the fanboy in me. Yes I’m talking about Kevin Smith and he was with his onscreen partner Jay (Jason Mewes).
Fanboys is about following your dreams and that there’s no better time to do it than now. They did reach the Skywalker Ranch but they were caught by the security. Mr. Lucas did show that he has a heart and let Linus, who has cancer, to watch Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.
Fanboys captured the atmosphere inside the cinemas when Episode 1 was shown for the first time. It brought back how hyped I was to watch it. If you love Star Wars then you’ll definitely love this one as well. I also love Kristen Bell, so double jackpot for me!
