All Fired Up With Laughter

After watching crappy comedies last July, I had low expectations with regards to Fired Up.  It surprised me.  I found myself laughing as the movie progresses.  If you like American Pie and Bring It On, then you’ll definitely like this movie as well.

Playing the two jock turned cheerleaders are Nicholas D’Agosto and Eric Christian OlsenSarah Roemer plays the head cheerleader of the Tigers.  Cheerleading camp is full of hot girls but Molly Sims is definitely the hottest one around.

It might be hard to believe that two late 20ish guys can pass as highschoolers, witty jocks at that but the two leads pulled it off.  Their chemistry on screen led to snappy dialogues and humorous situations all throughout the movie.  Fired Up is a good movie to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

There was a scene where Chumbawamba’s Tubthumping was blaring from Doc Rick’s car stereo and it was hilarious. I miss that song and just like him, the song is part of the soundtrack of my life.

Carly (Sarah Roemer): Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.

Don’t expect Fired Up to have depth or win an Oscar for its acting.  Its ending was predictable except for the part where their squad didn’t win the cheer contest.  It’s a fun movie that will definitely cheer you up.
