Step Up for Brother Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell has been an anchorman, NASCAR driver, basketball player, figure skater and a wedding crasher but in Step Brothers he plays a jobless man who still lives with his mom. Things became more complicated when his mom married someone with a son (John C. Reilly) that lives with him as well. Imagine the chaos that ensues when two man-childs get together.

If you like your movies filled with stupidity and laughter then go see Step Brothers. I must warn you though. There are some scenes not safe for the young ones. Just like any other movies in this genre, the plot is not important. It composed of one funny antic followed by another. I was laughing out loud all throughout the movie.

Dr. Robert Doback (Richard Jenkins): When I was a kid, when I was a little boy, I always wanted to be a dinosaur, I wanted to be a Tyrannosaurus Rex more than anything in the world, I made my arms short and I roamed the back yard, I chased the neighborhood cats, I growled and I roared, everybody knew me and was afraid of me, and one day my dad said “Bobby you are 17, it’s time to throw childish things aside” and I said “OK Pop”, but he didn’t really say that he said that “Stop being a fucking dinosaur and get a job”.

We should be thankful that Will Ferrell’s humor is not extinct yet like the dinosaurs. It was crazy how he belted out that operatic song to save the event in the end. Not only did that, it saved his mom’s marriage as well.

Step Brothers is the kind of movie that is best enjoyed with someone else, preferably your drinking buddies. Get the DVD, which contains hilarious cut scenes and bloopers that will make your jaws hurt from laughing too much.
