Guy Ritchie mixed all the right ingredients for RocknRolla. It’s a fast paced gangster movie with a complex plot, and witty dialogues. Just like any Guy Ritchie movie, it features a McGuffin in the form of a painting.
Everyone’s connected with each other. Gerard Butler of the Wild Bunch owes Tom Wilkinson the mob head, who has some business with a Russian real estate developer, whose accountant Thandie Newton contacts the Wild Bunch for a job. I don’t want to say more or else I could spoil the movie for you. That’s what the spoiler section is for. Hehehe. Oh by the way, Gemma Artenton plays the assistant to Ludacris and Jeremy Piven. How’s that for a supporting cast.
RocknRolla might seem to be complicated at first but the plot development is really good. Plus, with its fast paced action I guarantee that you’ll be at the edge of your sit for the rest of the movie. There are lots of memorable scenes in the movie but the one with the Russians would top the list.
Archy (Mark Strong): People ask the question… what’s a RocknRolla? And I tell ‘em – it’s not about drums, drugs, and hospital drips, oh no. There’s more there than that, my friend. We all like a bit of the good life – some the money, some the drugs, other the sex game, the glamour, or the fame. But a RocknRolla, oh, he’s different. Why? Because a real RocknRolla wants the fucking lot.
Yup, that’s what a RocknRolla is and he will be coming back for more. Guy Ritchie has stated that this is the first film of a trilogy. Johnny, Archy and the Wild Bunch will be back for The Real RocknRolla.

First let’s resolve the painting. The unseen painting was loaned to Lenny by the Russian. Then it was stolen by Johnny. Then it was taken by the crackheads and was sold to the Wild Bunch. Then One Two gave it to Stella. The Russian saw it at Stella’s house. At the end, Archy was seen giving it to Johnny while stating that the Russian had to pay an arm and a leg for it.
Near the end, the Wild Bunch was rounded up and was about to be executed by Archy. But it turns out that they have evidence that Lenny was the snitch. They were freed and Lenny was killed by Archy.
