Our School Extracurricular Teacher

You might remember that particular teacher during high school, which inspired you to be better than what you think you were before. I had an English teacher who would call his students creatures. I’ve always excelled in my math subjects but he opened my mind towards the beauty of literature and the written word. I’ve always been a book worm but I didn’t really savor everything I read. I did it to pass my time and nothing more. But after my 3rd year English, I learned that even a creature like me could write. And this is me today.

Our School E.T. could have been my teacher’s movie in retrospect except it was made in Korea. It’s a story of a gym teacher would became an English teacher (E.T.). Unlike other teachers in the school, he cared for his students. He even bought from the vegetable stand of his student’s mom to help with their finances.

It’s a great movie with Kim Soo Ro playing the E.T. It also features a cast of Korea’s future superstars, with the likes of Baek Sung Hyun, Park Bo Young, Moon Chae Won, and Lee Min Ho. The latter plays the lead role in Boys Before Flowers, the Korean remake of Meteor Garden.

Although the setting is Korea, the issues in the movie are relevant in the Philippines as well. It focused on the parent’s expectations regarding their children, the corrupt education system, and other significant topics on the plight of the young ones in general.

Random Foreign Stranger (in the men’s CR): Big enough!

Yup, this movie has a big enough heart. Not only that, it is entertaining as well. I highly recommend this movie.

*Spoiler*
