Dane Cook acting like a jerk at the beginning of the movie had me cracking up already. I knew right away that My Best Friend’s Girl is a movie that I would enjoy watching. The movie’s humor is for guys but I know some girls out there would laugh at the crude jokes as well.
My Best Friend’s Girl features a cast that feels just right for this movie. I’ve already mentioned Dane Cook as the jerk. Well, Kate Hudson is perfect as the girl Cook and the dorky Jason Biggs is chasing after. Alec Baldwin’s character was worth a couple of laughs as well. Lizzy Caplan as Hudson’s best friend was cute.
(I just had to mention that. Hehe.)
Overall the movie was okay. It might not be for everyone though. Conservatives and ultra-sensitive people might not get My Best Friend’s Girl. As for me, I did enjoy the romantic comedy. I do have one complaint about it though. The ending felt like it came out of nowhere. It was like there’s a big gap leading to it. Anyway I still think that the movie is funny.
