Credo (Devil’s Curse) might be full of horror genre clichés such as the beautiful leading lady (MyAnna Buring), haunted locale, and an unseen demon. But what I like about Credo is that it holds you in suspense without utilizing fancy effects or the use of gore.
The movie plays with your mind and I think that’s what a good horror movie should do. The cast did a great job playing their characters. Boyzone fans would be thrilled to see their idol Stephen Gately play a small role in this one.
Credo is a low budget indie suspense thriller with a good twist in the end. The film has a creepy atmosphere that adds to the tension, which builds up to the climax. It’s good to know that there are still decent filmmakers out there that don’t rely on gore to scare the wits out of people.
*Spoiler*
The demon made Alice see the things in her head to make her commit suicide, which is an unpardonable sin. After hanging herself in the tower, she contacted the others with the Ouija board.
