Anna Faris is one of the best comediennes at present. In House Bunny she plays a Playboy bunny that was evicted from the mansion. Left homeless, she came across a bunch of social misfits and promised to turn their sorority into the most famous one in the campus.
We’ve seen a lot of this type of film ever since Revenge of the Nerds but Faris and the Zeta girls gave it a refreshing twist. Plus there’s no other college movie where Hugh Hefner and his bunnies played a vital role in.
Faris perks up every scene she’s in. But credit should also go to her sorority girls. Emma Stone, Kat Dennings, Katharine McPhee, Rumer Willis, and Kiely Williams performances are worth a couple of laughs. I might be biased on this because I’m a big fan of McPhee since her American Idol days but even with the small exposure she got from the House Bunny shows that she’ll have a bright future in the industry. Same goes with Bruce and Demi’s kid Rumer.
House Bunny felt like the bastard child of Legally Blonde and Billy Madison. I loved both films and it’s only logical that I love House Bunny as well. It’s a feel good movie that will put a smile in your face after watching it.
Oliver (Colin Hanks): You given any thought to who you might be voting for?
Shelley (Anna Faris):I definitely won’t listen to what Simon says, he is just so mean. I usually always agree with Paula and Randy. Oh, you meant the president.
