It’s a Boy Girl Thing surprised me. I don’t know why I didn’t watch this movie when it was shown 2 years ago. We’ve all seen body swap comedies before such as Big, Freaky Friday, and Hot Chick. What sets this movie apart from the rest is the superb performance of the main artists.
Samaire Armstrong and Kevin Zegers did a good job portraying the body swapped teens. But I do think that Samaire deserves all the credit here. She made me believe that there really is a guy in her. Not only is she good looking but she does have that comedic presence that made the movie worth watching.
Overall It’s a Boy Girl Thing is worth a couple of laughs. It is predictable and the storyline is recycled but it got heart. It literally made a person walk into someone else’s shoes to fully understand that other person. Hopefully we don’t need to experience something like that to able to understand others better.
